After 80 years, the moka pot does not lose its leadership within Italian homes, remaining one of the most popular and used complements in our kitchens, as well as the ambassador in the world of the coffee rite, as a typically Italian pleasure moment. But how does a coffee maker work? In a very simple way: thanks to the physical principle of air expansion and vapor formation, hot water is pushed through the coffee powder through the funnel. The water is then enriched by the aromatic substances and the oils, producing the unmistakable drink that we all know. However, in order to extract the “ideal coffee” from the powder, it is necessary that the temperature of the water and the pressure correspond to the precise values that must remain constant, regardless of the size of the coffee maker.
